Donor Spotlight: Publix
Breaking Free Ministry and our Community Meals & Grocery Assistance Outreach are honored to recognize Publix as a community partner in hunger relief.
Through a generous $250 food gift card, Publix is helping us purchase fresh food, produce, and pantry staples to serve more than 200 neighbors each week, including families, seniors, and individuals facing food insecurity.
This support comes at a critical time, as winter brings increased need and a higher risk of families being turned away hungry. We are grateful for Publix’s presence in our area and their commitment to strengthening local communities.
Thank you, Publix, for standing with us to bring hope, warmth, and nourishment to Jessamine County.
Community Outreach Partnerships
Breaking Free Ministry serves neighbors through Christ-centered community outreach— including weekly free meals, practical help, referrals, prayer, and support for families facing hardship. Our goal is to create safe spaces where people can breathe, belong, and take the next step with confidence.
Weekly Meals
Every week, we provide free meals to individuals and families in our community. Our Monday and Saturday meals create a place of connection, consistency, and hope for those facing food insecurity, loneliness, or crisis. No sign-up is needed. Everyone is welcome.
Practical Help & Prayer
From clothing and household essentials to prayer and connection, our heart is to meet people where they are—helping them stabilize, rebuild, and discover that they are not alone.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers make our ministry possible. Whether serving meals, sorting donations, assisting in the thrift store, or praying with families, every act of kindness creates impact. We welcome individuals, families, and groups who want to serve with purpose.
Our Community Impact
Last year, Breaking Free Ministry assisted our community partner, Christ Embassy, and several ministries serving over 14,000 meals and providing essential support, prayer, and resources to hundreds of individuals and families. As the need continues to rise, we remain committed to showing Christ’s love in practical, life-changing ways.
Future Community Resource Hub | 2026 Vision
Looking ahead to 2026, our vision is to establish a Christ-centered community resource hub—a single place where neighbors can find counseling support, a digital and in-person resource library, a thrift store, community services, and shared meals. This future space will bring together practical help, emotional support, and spiritual care so individuals and families can take real steps toward stability, healing, and independence.
