WHO WE ARE
Breaking Free Ministry’s multi-dimensional program is designed to support the whole person: spirit, soul and body. We provide individual and group counseling, life skill classes, self study, and activities to deal with their abused, wounded and hopelessness to achieve healthy living.
We are a donor- supported Program. Only through our partners, and donors can we have the transformation in the lives of these women. Breaking Free Ministry has great success of 72% sustained success over the last six years with our residents. We provide ongoing support, freedom to attend any of our classes, ongoing counseling for transitional living issues which has made our support very successful to live a life free!
As we look to expand our abilities for these women to include additional women coming in from multiples resources, provide transitional housing, jobs and life skills, we need your help. We cannot do it alone. We are community. Our goal as we partner with the Center for Growth and Hope is to continue on going services to the mainstream population and to overcome the stigma of substance abuse so they will seek treatment and so they can live free.
The residents participate in life skill classes to equip them for life after the program. Life skills can include GED classes, parenting classes, budgeting, assigned chores, resume’ creation, interviewing skills, developing social skills, car maintenance, and goal setting. Depending on the home’s schedule, the residents often attend church events, meetings and/or conferences. We have created social enterprise businesses to help women begin to learn to transition into the workforce.
In preparing for graduation, staff work with each resident to begin planning, preparing and equipping them for life after the program. This often includes finalizing plans for work, school, transportation, budget and living arrangements.
