Our Mission Breaking Free Ministry uses resources of housing, counseling services, and job opportunities for women whose lives have been affected by addiction and trauma, resulting in destructive cycles through a focused approach that transforms lives through healing from trauma.
Our Purpose We exist to serve and glorify God through Christ-Centered ministry that meets the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those struggling in bondage from abuse, addiction and trauma.
Our Vision
Our Vision 1- Community Awareness- reaching out to all walks of life and sharing our stories of how abuse, addiction, and trauma affects all of us: sons, daughters, parents, children, grandchildren and friends. We believe families are as much affected as those suffering from substance abuse disorders. We want to bring education and resources to children and families who need support and mentorship. Our goal is to create a community center within the next 3-5 years with programs for families, children.
2- Residential House for Women- A Focused approach to a women's program where those women who need healing can have a safe place to heal and receive freedom as they reclaim their lives and reenter into the community. We utilize case managers, counselors, peer support, counseling, group studies, accountability, life skills, job training and move toward freedom. This is a 12-18+ month program with an additional transitional and aftercare program of mentorship and discipleship following the residence program.
3-Restored Enterprises-Business Social Enterprise/ provides opportunities for those in the program to provide employment, entrepreneur training and job skills opportunities. We are creating businesses which will allow the women to learn life skills, job skills, communication skills and give them a sense of purpose.
4-Responsible Living Homes-these are Responsible Living homes that will be available to the women completing our program. Residents move into here upon completion and pay a monthly rent. The residents are required to follow-up with the counseling team for additional support for the following year. We find most of women from 5 years ago still remain connected to us as support and doing life together for events.
5-RESTORED LIFE Outpatient Counseling Center for women in the community. They will be able to receive 9-15 hours a month of counseling after they leave the residence program. We plan to open within 10 years and it will be open to the women and children in the community.
At our facilities, all backgrounds will be afforded the opportunity to seek refuge from crisis that results in abuse, addiction and trauma and other issues. Residents will be offered a comprehensive support system, including counseling for drug use, abuse, and life issues in general. Our goal is to help women reenter the communities with jobs or school opportunities.
In addition, we plan to deliver related social services intended to provide our clients with the ability to become productive members of society and achieve long term self-sufficiency. We will work to provide clients and their families with life skills, coping skills, money management, job placement, etc. It is our overarching goal to ensure that our clients continue to be successful once they reach their permanency goals. Whether they reunify with families, transition into other transitional living programs, or move into their own home or apartment, we focus on giving them the skills they’ll need to continue to lead healthy, stable lives.
